You are currently viewing 5 Easy Listening Jazz Guitar Albums You Can Play Without Getting Kicked Out Of The House By Your Girlfriend!

Last Updated on December 27, 2022 by Ben

We’ve all been there.

We are guitar players, and one way we absorb and develop as musicians is by listening to what inspires us, but what happens when what we listen to makes our girlfriend, roommate, or whoever loses it?  you know they can’t stand it.

One way I’ve found helpful is to find a middle point between something inspiring to me, and something an “ordinary person” (Not a crazy guitarist) can listen to.

I love jazz guitar, but I discovered that playing Pat Metheny or John Scofield’s albums doesn’t necessarily give the right cool, relaxed atmosphere when I’m with my non-musician friends (or girlfriends).

Why not enjoy both worlds?

So, that’s exactly what I was looking for… jazz guitar albums with enough interest for me but also albums that generate relaxed and sexy atmosphere.

I’ve found that these next five albums do the job perfectly!

And that I can play with them depending on how the hang develops. I love it.

Check them out, and see if some or all of them communicate with you.
